  1. I have a 10th grade boy. Is it too late for OWL? We’ve discussed sexuality with him, but he is much less interested in discussing this with his parents than his sister was. Also, since this is described as an open house, should I book my calendar for the whole three hours?

    1. Hi Mary Anne! You are not too late for OWL! October 15 is our Open House, an opportunity to ask questions about the program, meet other families interested in attending OWL classes, and to meet with our wonderful OWL coordinator, Robin. I recommend marking your calendar for 1pm, but you do not need to stay the entire time if you have all the information you are seeking. A parent meeting will take place in December, and classes will begin mid/late January. Thank you for your interest in the Our Whole Lives program! If you know of other families that could benefit from this program, please share this information. We look forward to meeting your family!

  2. Hello, we are members of the Ventura UU church. We are familiar with the OWL program, and our daughter is in 5th grade and due for that age-group session of OWL. However, it is not being offered at the Ventura church this year. We may not be able to make it tomorrow to the open house, but I’d like to get more information about the class timing, etc, as we’d be interested in having her participate. Any additional info would be much appreciated! Feel free to contact me at the email address provided.
