The Earth Is Crying
Rev. Betty and the Chalice Players
This service takes us from a time when the Earth was held in reverence by those people who lived on
her surface to a time after our present when the world as we know it has come to an end. We will hear
ideas of Chief Seattle, experience a story by Byrd Baylor, and see two original dramatizations by
Sloane Powers and Steve Miller. Merlin Snider will provide musical inspiration.

Honoring Our Inner Child
Rev. Betty
Although some did not, many of us had fun-filled childhoods. But as we grew up, we may have lost
some of the playfulness and spontaneous joy of those early days. On this Mother’s Day, we will have
many voices to help us recapture some of wonder of childhood — past or present.
Child Dedication - Contact Rev. Betty if you would like your child or children to be dedicated.

COMING OF AGE
This special service commemorates the beginning of the journey into
adulthood. Join Philip Hess and Henry Lubka as they take their first steps into that journey.
This service is intergenerational.

Prayer As a Spiritual Practice
Rev. Betty
We Unitarian Universalists often talk about prayer as though it is only a part of our pasts. But we may
find ourselves drawn to it in moments of crisis. Is it possible that we may have overlooked its value as a
form of spiritual practice for our everyday lives? This service will look at the ways that we can resignify
the meaning and experience of prayer for our lives today, without all the baggage of our pasts. Come
and see! We will also have a New Member Induction to honor those who have joined our congregation
in the last six months.
